Before You Store

It is essential to prepare your motorcycle before storing it away by following these simple steps: change the oil, wash it well, fill the gas tank and cover the mufflers. By ensuring these steps are done, you will reduce the risk of rust and greasy residue. Lastly, cover your bike for extra protection against harsh weather conditions.

Fenced and Gated Open Parking Options

While your shed may seem ideal, let’s face it—It is probably packed full with your lawnmower, leaf blower and other gardening essentials, so there is no space left. Your garage may also already have vehicles so parking is limited. That is why we offer a fenced or gated area option for ultimate security. Our gated locations have passkeys and on-site personnel making it easy for you to access during our extended open hours.

Visit Periodically for Check-ups

Although your vehicle will be safe during the winter months, we recommend you to visit periodically to check the motorcycle’s condition, especially during dramatic temperature drops. Check for the antifreeze, ensure chain maintenance and do not overcharge the battery. We also recommend placing your bike on top of a stand to keep the tires off the ground, but if this is not the case, you want to make sure you rotate your tires and inflate them before placing a carpet below the tires to prevent water build-up.

Long-term Storage Option

If you are planning on keeping your motorcycle in storage longer than winter, make sure to pay attention to the bike’s pistons and cylinder rings by adding engine oil inside of the spark plugs. Keep your battery charged by using a battery tender that will not drain and automatically stop charging once fully recharged. This will provide a longer-lasting maintenance solution and prevent your bike from not starting when needed.
